Chef McKenzie artist and business man out of Phoenix, Az by way of NYC. Chef brings a new twist to old school rap vibes on his new mixtape 99 Blaze set to come out Nov. 18th Produced, mixed and masted in-house. This album came to gather from the archives so I decided to name it 99 Blaze To pay some homage to some greats that I felt get left out like, Scottie Pippin, Rasheed Wallace, Bonzi Well, Ben Wallace, & all ways Kobe. On the album you will hear a lot of basketball references And trap bars. 99 Blaze is the start of a bigger series of mixtapes that Chef plans to put out in the near future paying homage to different teams and people in creative ways. This mixtape is dedicate to my late friend Isaac Rios and his favorite basketball player of all time Kobe Bryant.

From riding around on the 40 Block recording and making beats in the car to owning an operating Tree House Creations a media company located in Tempe,Az. Chef has worked at developing as an artist & producer with 12 years of study and experience with engineering chef has developed a sound and brand for him self like no other with the heart of a Jamaican & the soul of an American black man in today’s society. Chef has shown thru hardship & with humble begins you can build a world and he just wants to leave his mark and show the world that thru it all there will still be Nice Days.
The album Nice Days has been in the works for awhile these are songs from when I was 18 all the way up to now at 30. I produced mixed and mastered this album with the help of basshaus and fervor records. We have been able to encapsulate my growth and experiences in life and as a musician. The name Chef McKenzie comes from me working on starting my own food truck called nitewings which should be debuting top of next year god willing. McKenzie being my last name and what everyone calls my father who raised me into who I am today and provided me with wisdom and motivation to be an entrepreneur and to take from the world what you need and cut out the rest. Help who you respect and demand respect from others. Most of all don’t let shortcomings beat you down strive for excellence and you can persevere anything you put your mind to and ask god for.
